2009 - British Military Base in Malvinas

In March the British government submitted a proposal to the European Parliament proposing converted into "European" the British military base in Malvinas, so in that way compromise the interests of the whole community in support of maintaining the island by force.

In October, a new openly belligerent attitude when was known the sending of four RAF Typhoon combat fighter jets,  high technology to the military base "Mont Pleasant" in the Malvinas, where at the same time performed very intense military exercises headed by the Chief of Joint Staff of the British Armed Forces.

As a striking feature, indicating where you are going to Great Britain, was designated as "Governor" of the islands to a British military his last base was Iraq, expert in missions in highly conflictive regions such as Lebanon and Northern Ireland.
